This policy explains how MAISON ASINEV collects, uses, and protects your personal data. It is written to comply with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA Malaysia) and Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012, as amended in 2021 (PDPA Singapore).

We collect only what we need to serve you well.

What we collect

• Identity and contact details — name, email, phone number, billing and shipping addresses.
• Payment information — card details and transaction records, handled by our payment gateway. We do not store full card numbers.
• Order history — items you have viewed, added to cart, purchased, returned, or exchanged.
• Account information — login credentials and saved preferences, if you create an account.
• Browsing behaviour — pages visited, device and browser type, and referral source, gathered through cookies and similar technologies.
• Correspondence — anything you send us by email, form, or social media.

Why we collect it

• To fulfil your order — process payment, arrange delivery, handle returns and exchanges.
• To provide customer service — answer questions and resolve issues.
• To send marketing, only with your consent. You may withdraw consent at any time.
• To improve the store — understand how customers shop with us and refine the experience.
• To meet legal obligations — including tax, accounting, and fraud prevention.

How long we keep it

• Order and transaction records: seven years, as required by Malaysian tax law.
• Account information: while your account is active, then deleted on request or after extended inactivity.
• Marketing data: until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.
• Customer service correspondence: up to three years.

Who we share it with

We work with a small set of trusted partners to operate the store. Each handles your data under their own privacy terms.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed to run the store, comply with the law, or protect our rights.

International transfers

Some of our partners — including Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta, and Google — store and process data on servers outside Malaysia and Singapore, primarily in the United States and the European Union. By using our store, you consent to this transfer. We require these partners to apply protections at least equivalent to PDPA Malaysia and PDPA Singapore standards.

Cookies

We use three categories of cookies:

• Functional — required for the site to work (cart, login, checkout). Always on.
• Analytics — help us understand site usage. Optional.
• Marketing — enable personalised advertising on Meta and Google. Optional.

Your rights

Under PDPA Malaysia and PDPA Singapore, you may:

• Request deletion where we no longer need the data for legal or contractual reasons

• Lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Department (Malaysia) or the Personal Data Protection Commission (Singapore)

Children

Our store is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always posted on our website with an effective date. For significant changes, we will email customers on our marketing list and post a notice on our homepage.
