FAQ

Ordering

Are pieces really one of one?

Most pieces are made in single editions. A few are made in editions of 2–5, marked clearly on the product page. When a piece is sold, it leaves the collection.

Can I reserve a piece before paying?

Yes. Send us a WhatsApp message and we'll hold a piece for 24 hours pending payment. After 24 hours unpaid, the piece returns to the collection.

How do I know if a piece is still available?

The website shows live availability. If a piece shows as available, it is. If it shows Sold, it is gone.

The Craft

Where are the pieces made?

In ateliers in Mumbai, India, by master beadwork artisans we have personal relationships with.

Who makes them?

Sayed and his team in Mumbai are our principal craftsmen for the cutdana pieces. We commission specific pieces from specific ateliers based on the technique each piece needs.

What is cutdana beadwork?

Cutdana refers to small cylindrical beads, traditionally cut from larger glass tubes, hand-stitched in patterns. It is a centuries-old Indian beadwork technique used in bridal and ceremonial pieces.
